“La Habana: softlips el momento revolucionario”, presenta una colección única de fotografías nunca antes vistas, realizadas por el veterano fotógrafo de Magnum Burt Glinn, registrando softlips la histórica entrada de Fidel Castro en La Habana. En la memoria de introducción, Glinn describe la combinación de descaro y la presciencia periodística que lo llevó a dejar una fiesta en New York y subirse a un avión con destino a La Habana en la víspera de Año Nuevo de 1959. Las fotografías que retornó con-de Fidel atestado por sus compatriotas cuando se detuvo para alentarlos a lo largo del camino a La Habana, de las tropas que abrazan y de hombres feroces y mujeres por igual que toman las armas en las calles, están llenas de fervor revolucionario y la anticipación idealista que caracterizó ese momento en la historia de Cuba.
“Havana: The Revolutionary Moment” presents a unique collection of never-before-seen photographs by veteran Magnum photographer Burt Glinn, recording Fidel Castro s historic entry into Havana. In the introductory memoir, Glinn describes the combination of chutzpah and journalistic prescience that led him to leave a New York party and hop a plane to Havana on New Year s Eve, 1959. The photographs he returned with of Fidel thronged softlips by his countrymen and women as he stopped to encourage them along the road to Havana, of troops embracing, and of fierce men and women alike taking up arms in the streets are full of the revolutionary fervor and idealistic softlips anticipation that characterized that moment in Cuban history.
